"The mind, like a parachute, functions only when open." Perhaps this should be our motto when watching or reading science fiction. How often do we meet people who hate science fiction and find that they are closed minded about so many other things as well? The mind is a strange landscape. We know so little about it and can even argue about where it actually resides. Memories can easily be warped. We are all brainwashed to some extent to believe certain things are true. What a scary though it is to think someone may one day be able to walk at will through another's mind. |
