Science Fiction (and Fantasy) on Television

You may notice in our movies section that we offer ratings, categories and advice on age restrictions. For the Television section, we have decided not to follow the same structure.

We give a general view on the quality of series of shows but see no point in formally rating them.

Some shows cover so many categories, but in individual shows, that applying categories generally just doesn't work well - better to describe the sort of things that occur.

As for age - we will still give some indications to help parents, but within the description.

We offer show descriptions, balanced, intelligent reviews, principal character/cast lists, quotes, etc. There is also latest news on shows in production or proposed (or being cancelled). Each show starts off with a single page, but some are built up into what are effectively complete sub-sites. This obviously doesn''t all happen instantly, but is rapidly being built up.

Now for those of you who read a review and dare to disagree with it, we have this comment: We at SFTV.info wonder how anyone can have the temerity to contradict any of Doctor SciFi's opinions, because he has a brain the size of a planet and knows everything about everything. However, Doctor SciFi himself is far more magnanimous and has the following to say,

"It is true that I am a superior being to you Earthlings and obviously my views are based on a deep study and knowledge of science fiction and fantasy both on this planet and others. However, something I like about humans is their diversity and ability to share opinions, (although this does sometimes result in wars). I honour mankind and offer my views as just one voice. You are quite free to disagree with me and I will even read your e-mails before sending them to the bin. The Earth is a better place for having a wide range of views. We don't all need to agree with each other and I won't hold it against you - even when you are wrong ..."

What exactly is Science Fiction? What is Fantasy? Indeed, what is Science Fantasy?

Well, we have looked at many definitions and read all sorts of views from many experts and after considerable thought and debate, we have come to the definite conclusion that we really don't care about definitions.
